GTrek GPS Google Earth
Did you ever want to check your exact movements on a map after a skiing session? Or maybe after a bike ride?

GTrek is able this info this feature by using Google Earth as the support, and the final result is a cool map in 3D terrain - much like the one you can see on the bottom of this post.

The time to record your location can be set for different intervals, with the minimum being 1 second, and the maximum going up for more than 50 hours. It can also record other types of data, such as the average and maximum speed, altitude, and more.

As you can imagine, all these details can be pretty useful, and it gets even better if you create a “movement map” - check the demo video.

As for the battery of the GTrek - 20 hours after a full recharge, or 360 hours in standby.

John Bird, co-founder of the GTrek:

We developed this product as a means of recording and displaying the type of information that an outdoor enthusiast, such as a skier for example, would want to see it in order to talk to their friends at the end of a day on the slopes.

Hello Kitty - Now In LCD TV

Hello Kitty LCD TVI seriously don’t understand how many people are so fanatic about Hello Kitty, but the truth is that the cartoon character has a lot of success, otherwise there wouldn’t exist a Hello Kitty themed Scooter, or a laptop with crystals, and a bunch of other items colored in pink.

The latest addition to the list of “recent HK items” is the TL19TX1, which costs close to $650.

The LCD TV Kitty measures 19-inches and provides a resolution of 1440×8100 pixels. Uncommon features includes two built-in speakers of 3W each, HDMI interface, and 1Seg Tuner.

You can get it in two colors : Black & White.

Knight Rider on a GPS

Knight Rider-themed GPS systemDo you remember the old-school TV series entitled Knight Rider? I sure do, and I bet there are plenty of fans out there that can’t get enough of it.

For the true fans, Mio has been working on a GPS system that has Knight Rider as the theme. As you can see on the image, the red LEDs are pretty similar to the lights that were part of the KITT car.

Another interesting feature on the upcoming GPS is the voice-playback: when the driver starts the car, it will hear something like “Hello Micheal, where do you want to go today?”.

Besides the price of approximately $270, there isn’t much more information available.

Toshiba QosmioIn the world of laptops, Toshiba has made some changes by expanding the Qosmio line and adding 3 new models - G55, X305, and F55.

In terms of screen size, the G55 is the biggest (and heaviest) with a huge 18.4-inch TruBrite Widescreen. In second place comes the X305 featuring a 17.1-inch screen, and the F55 stays in last place with a “so called” normal screen for laptops measuring 15.4-inches.

There are a couple of other differences between each model, such as the storage solution. While the G55 has a normal hard-drive with a maximum capacity of 500GB, the X305 combines (64GB) SSD and HDD with a total of 400GB

Strangely enough, the F55 has a GPS receiver.

All feature HDMI interface, eSATA port, and Harman Kardon speakers with built-in subwoofers.

Besides that “small” detail, both HD camcorders have a 2.7-inch LCD screen, 12x optical zoom, the obvious HDMI interface, and a 5.1 surround microphone.
